Making Pictures has a new home, and this is its address.

I believe that the environment plays a crucial role in fostering creativity. The right space can make our work easier and better.
Two years ago Substack allowed me to set up everything I needed to start writing Making Pictures in less than five minutes, for free. Although there were other options available, I chose Substack as my foundation because it felt like the best fit for me.
Over time a few things changed, and last Summer I began to feel that this was no longer the right space for me. Hence the decision to pack everything up and move somewhere else.
And here we are, the time has come. Making Pictures has a new home, and this is its address: https://makingpictures.ghost.io/tag/en/.
On Wednesday, January 31, I will send the first email from the new address. I’ve done a million tests, and they’ve all been successful, so there shouldn’t be any hiccups.
Anyway, I wanted to leave one last message here. This is partly to guide you through the transition and help those who might still be passing through here.
What do I need to do to start receiving the newsletter from the new platform?
If you are already subscribed: nothing. I have moved all articles, as well as subscriptions. You will continue to receive posts via email to the same address you provided to Substack.
If you are not subscribed: go to the new platform and click Subscribe.
How can I unsubscribe?
To manage your subscription on the new Making Pictures homepage, simply use your email address. Look for the Sign in option in the upper right corner and click on it to check your subscription status or cancel it if needed. If you require assistance or have any questions, you can contact the support team (me) or send your issue to info@florianariccio.com (also me).
What will happen to this place (Making Pictures/Substack)?
After the first submission from the new platform, I will delete all subscriptions here on Substack. I will keep the full archive for a few more weeks, just enough time to correct any formatting issues on the new platform. After that, I will delete all the articles except for this one. This post will serve as a placeholder for those who may still be visiting this page during 2024. Finally, I will close the doors altogether, but this will happen at the end of 2024. At the moment, it seems like a distant future.
I hope this clarifies things. See you on the other side ;)
